Smashburger launches customer loyalty app

Smashburger Kuwait, the neighborhood’s favorite place for burgers, has launched the first mobile application of its kind in the country for rewarding customers’ loyalty.

The new Smashburger Kayan app has been developed in line with the business goal of delivering a great customer experience for its customers. It acts as a digital loyalty card, enabling customers to get a free side dish after 8 entrée purchases while easily keeping track of their account status. In addition to the ongoing loyalty offer, the app will push special promotions for new and loyal customers alike.

In order to improve overall customer experience the app also includes customer feedback and ‘get-in-touch’ tools, a digital menu facility and details of the restaurant locations and opening times.

The new Smashburger app, developed in association with Stampfeet, the UK based mobile loyalty specialist, will provide Smashburger with valuable consumer insight information, allowing it to monitor customer satisfaction and develop marketing and promotional campaigns for its users through targeted push notifications messages based on customers’ purchase patterns and location.

Bigmouthmedia steps up to SEO campaign for Wallis

Global digital marketing company bigmouthmedia has announced that it has won the contract to implement an ongoing SEO campaign for online and high street women’s fashion retailer Wallis. The contract will see bigmouthmedia build on Wallis’s substantial online customer base by significantly growing the firm’s search engine performance around its tens of thousands of products, specific product launches, promotions and seasonal sales.

Golley Slater Digital Win Innovation in Mobile Marketing Econsultancy Award

Golley Slater, the full service marketing agency has won the 2010 Econsultancy award for Innovation in Mobile Marketing. The award was for the Clarityn hayfever mobile app – the UK’s first fully animated 3D pollen forecast.

The app helped hayfever sufferers for the first time to visualise the strength of the pollen based on real-time data feeds linked to a localised pollen count forecast. The augmented reality iPhone application combines useful tips, pollen information and Clarityn products. As well as providing a valuable tool to help users manage their hayfever, the app is a colourful and playful experience that makes checking the pollen count an enjoyable part of a daily ritual.

The app formed part of an integrated campaign devised to drive consumers into the digital sphere of Clarityn.

The results: Over 200,000 installs including 73,000 app updates and over 3,000 ratings.

Judge’s comments: A superb app that supports the brand incredibly well, and which proves that augmented reality is more than a technology gimmick. A great use of real time data, and very successful. Bravo.
